Hello!

My name is Ryan and my blog is The Better Credit Blog. I've been blogging for about 5 years (started the blog in 2007), but I've just started to get into the blogging community. I just joined the Yakezie Challenge and hoping that will bring some positive things to my blog :)

I am also looking to write some guest posts on credit related issues if anyone would be interested. I thought I'd have better luck asking on here rather than emailing bloggers directly! I know that I get about a dozen emails a week from businesses and spammers wanting to write "guest posts", so I'm sure you do too.

I am sorry what makes you not similar to those that email everyone? Your front page has posts from 2009! Your second to "newest" post seems to have been published in the summer of 2012.  Is it the addition of the yakezie badge?

Hopefully you can tell from the quality of my blog that I'm legit. To answer your question, I took a bit of a break and trying to get back into it.

I know credit related blogs get a bad rap because of credit repair companies, etc… but it is a big part of personal finance that really isn't covered as much as it should be.. that's why I focus on it almost exclusively.

I think you'd have a lot more success with guest post requests if you first spent some time focusing on your own site and getting back into the groove of writing articles that bring your content into 2013.  You'll get the biggest bang for your buck with concentrating on your own site, then when that's in a groove, you can enhance through guest posting.  Otherwise, it looks sort of fishy.

The quality of the posts mean nothing.  If you write 1 per quarter you just aren't a blogger, which is fine except you are looking for free guest posts b/c you put up the yakezie badge
